Warehouse Associate
$16-$17 per hour
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team!
This is a temp to perm position. This is an excellent opportunity for a permanent position with career growth!
HOURS: MON, TUES, THURS, FRI 2PM-2AM (Off WED, SAT, SUN)

Job Summary
Performs functions related to but not limited to administrative support, customer service, par levels, inventory management, surgical case carts, specialty carts and kits, medical equipment, receiving/shipping and off-site supply deliveries

Core Processes and Activities
Following is a summary of the major job processes for this position. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time:
A. Provides departmental administrative support by:
1. Providing Lawson data input
2. Resolving buyer messages
3. Handling invoice discrepancies and resolution
B. Acts as department liaison for customer service providing assistance with:
1. Resolving customer inquiries
2. Product research and sourcing
3. Product requisitions and purchase orders
4. Vendor backorders and product returns
5. Communicating product information and changes
C. Counts and replenishes par level locations using available technology, i.e., handhelds. Maintains pars and makes recommendations for changes:
D. Assists with inventory management by stocking shelves, rotating stock, cycle counts and physical inventory
E. Prepares and stocks surgical case carts, if applicable
F. Cleans, prepares and replenishes specialty carts and kits if applicable
G. Cleans, prepares and distributes patient equipment, if applicable
H. Receives all incoming freight from UPS, Federal Express and various other common carriers. Prepares and ships outgoing freight
I. Delivers to off-site facilities as necessary
J. Knowledgeable of computer systems, including handhelds, used within Materials Management
K. Assists in cost containment efforts utilizing resources wisely
L. Adheres to all department, hospital and corporate policies and procedures
M. Maintains competency according to department policies, procedures and protocols
N. The employee will be authorized to assist professional staff in the handling of medications in accordance with assigned job duties. Competency and training will be required, which will be validated upon completion of mandatory on-line medication training module.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve execution of production assignments
- Review and distribute supplies and shipments in a timely manner
- Confer with other departments to determine progress of work and completion dates
- Compile reports on costs and inventory levels
- Review and communicate production status reports
- Serve as point of contact between production and planning teams
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are the minimum necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
A. Education and formal training:
1. High School graduate required
2. Computer knowledge preferred (MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel)
B. Work experience:
1. Experience in healthcare setting preferred. Experience in inventory/logistics and related functions preferred.
C. Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
1. Ability to learn our inventory control software system
2. Basic computer skills
3. Able to use a pallet jack, dock board and handtrucks.
D. Special conditions: Requires prolonged standing, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and stooping; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds; Requires working shifts that meet the department’s needs. Working weekend/holidays as well as overtime as needed; Good hearing and visual acuity; Ability to work in a stressful environment resulting from customer demands; Ability to work prolonged periods of time inputting computer data using repetitious hand movements. M-Medium Work - Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, including the human body, weighing 21 to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or 11 to 20 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
