Exhibit Designer
The Exhibit Designer presents creative solutions that align with our client’s brand goals, objectives, and budget parameters. If you have the talent and drive to create three-dimensional brand statements that stand out in the face-to-face environment, keep reading.
What you’ll do:
- Communicate effectively with Client Services and Designers to establish client objectives
- Produce and present 3D studio models, design renderings, and floor plans
- Interpret ideas and design concepts for internal/client communications
- Provide detailed and accurate 3D files in the required format for production
- Produce work promptly and meets tight deadlines
- Attend preliminary design and job launch meetings
- Stay fluent in current design trends, materials, and presentation techniques
- Assume responsibility for effectiveness, creativity, and cost-efficiency of design
- Become a vital part of the sales process, from information pick-up through a sales presentation
- Support the design teams
- Provide design solutions in conjunction with the design management and production department and the client services department to meet budgetary considerations
- Work to know client needs and interactively translate that into architecture design, idealization sketches, mock-ups, and design idea concepts that lead to an intuitive and delightful user and attendee experience for our clients
- Visually communicate clients’ marketing directives at trade shows and events
- Leverage rental inventory to create value-driven designs
- Represent design solutions by most or all of the following mediums:
- floor plans/space planning,
- hand sketches/drawings,
- style boards and material sample boards,
- computer renderings/emailed images,
- mounted prints on boards,
- images posted on the web,
- 3D VR files,
- animated walkthroughs, and
- dimensioned control drawings
Qualifications
What we’d love to see:
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in 3D design in the trade show/event industry or related field is required
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with the following programs are a must:
- 3D Studio Max
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in human health fields is a plus (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device)
- Above average ability to visualize and conceptualize in 3D space
- Strong problem-solving and basic sketching skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of fabrication techniques and materials standard of exhibit design
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Ability to work on multiple projects with varied deadlines simultaneously
- Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- A bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, post-graduate education a plus
