Access2Care Transportation Coordinators are a vital part of the Access2Care team and are responsible for answering incoming calls from our network providers, clients, their members, member representatives, and medical facilities to coordinate transportation for medical appointments or to inquire about transportation and responding to these calls appropriately, while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor. The Transportation Coordinator will also assist members in managing transportation services with the provider.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as a liaison between the patient and transportation providers
- Answer calls from network transportation providers in a prompt/courteous manner
- Coordinate scheduling of trips with network transportation providers
- Maintain a professional, caring and courteous demeanor with all callers
- Negotiate rates with network providers in special circumstances
- Tracks specific passengers and trip progress as requested
- Identify opportunities to control costs and improve quality of care for the member
- Improve system handling and identifying trips that go to park and pending.
- Serves as a liaison between the patient and transportation providers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-Three years of previous customer service experience and dispatch/routing experience preferred

- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Type 30 wpm
- Multilingual capabilities a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and services
- Healthcare industry experience
- Ability to multitask.
