Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to assist the Associate Director of Mental Health Community Based Services (MH CBS) in the management and operations of the Mental Health Community Based Services and HCBS/CORE.
Responsibilities include:
Education & Experience
Bachelor degree accepted in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a closely related field with four years professional experience working with disabled adults. Must have three years supervisory experience, active status as a Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts (LPHA) preferred. Knowledge of agency and community programs and services for adults with disabilities is desired.
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid NYS Driver’s license in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and a reliable car for use in program responsibilities. Must have visual acuity and motor skills to operate a motor vehicle. Must be available for occasional on-call bona fide emergencies. Must be able and willing to demonstrate direct care duties. Must have ability to communicate to individuals and groups (e.g. in order to explain program services) as well as the ability to write reports which document assessments and outcomes of program services. Must have reading and reasoning abilities in order to understand and interpret program regulations. Required to work inside and be able to sit for long periods of time (e.g. for paperwork and attendance at meetings). Strong computer skills required.
