JOB SUMMARY:
A licensed vocational nurse assigned to perform nursing services under the direction of physicians, nurse practitioners and/or the Director of Nursing. May be assigned to any location of AccessHealth facilities. Required to follow universal precautions at all times.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform nursing services within the scope of the assigned clinic, under the direction of the providers and/or the Director of Nursing.
2. Responds to patient telephone inquiries.
3. Provides appropriate patient education about illness, needed treatment, return visits, medications and immunizations.
4. Maintains integrity of vaccine supply.
5. Assists with the inventory control of immunizations. Responsible for completion of required paperwork for the DSHS, Vaccine for Children Program (VFC). Prepares monthly report.
6. Explains and obtains informed consent for the purpose of medical assessment and provision of immunizations.
7. Documents provision of immunizations per DSHS regulations. Document immunizations into Immtrac.
8. Performs emergency procedures according to approved protocols.
9. Responds to refill requests.
10. Assists with restocking exam rooms, inventory control, and front office procedures as requested.
11. Performs phlebotomy duties as required by clinic site.
12. Coordinates with other AccessHealth staff to provide a cohesive program of service for agency clients and the community.
13. Accepts job related training and development in new tasks and technologies.
14. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated.
15. Comply with all company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
16. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
2. A valid vocational nursing license. License must be kept current to retain employment.
3. One year work experience.
4. Bilingual ability preferred

Hours:
Employees will be assigned to a regular work schedule, which may include hours before 8:00 am, after 5:00 pm, and Saturdays as determined by department needs and requirements.
Salary : $20 - $28
