General Job Description:
This position teams with other ACCO engineers and project managers to complete tasks related to engineering design and project engineering for construction projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, duct, and piping system design
- BIM modeling of mechanical systems utilizing the latest modeling software
- Complete code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation
- Assist with coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners.
- Field engineering and project engineering: assist with budgeting, estimating, project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, submittals, requests for information (RFIs) and problem solving
- Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members
- Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Position Requirements:
- Coursework towards a BS in Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior intern experience with mechanical contractor and/or engineering consultant preferred, but not required
- Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, or similar drafting software preferred

Hours:
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. In general, work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and are determined by the department head.
Competitive Wages:
$20.43 to $26.56 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others.
