This is an amazing opportunity will give you exposure to a range of brands and hotel sizes / structures. The role is primarily situated at The Sebel Sydney Quay West Suites. Leading a well-established team which currently consists of a Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller, Two Hotel Accountants, Payroll Officer and Two Finance Officers.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities include
Directly accountable for all financial information sent to the General Managers, Accor and Owners in regard to presentation, accuracy and detail.
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Ensure that all Management Agreements and Owners Corporation matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner – with accuracy and attention to detail.
Assist Department Heads/Managers to develop effective measures to enhance their department’s profitability.
Supply all departments with accurate statistical information on a timely basis.
Cooperate with all other departments offering support information on finance matters as required.
Develop and monitor all financial systems for the Hotel with a view to improving and streamlining procedures.
Ensure that policies and procedures set by Accor are implemented and internal controls are operating effectively.
You will be responsible for the training & development of the finance team. Ensuring thorough training and knowledge of all Hotel systems – Opera, Micros, Sun, Purchase Plus, Adobe sign, Currency Select, Online Banking portals, and others as deemed necessary to support the financial and compliance performance of the hotel.
Qualifications
Experience leading a Finance team within a Hotel/ Hospitality environment.
Significant experience managing F&B P&Ls
CPA/ CA qualified or working towards.
Excellent communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail.
Experience engaging, developing and motivating a team.
Significant experience with Sun Systems, Opera, Purchase Plus, HumanForce & WageEasy.
