- Manage day-to-day finance and GAAP accounting, introducing automation where possible (including billing and monthly customer invoicing).
- Provide solid GAAP financial reporting to the CEO, board of directors, and lenders.
- Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting process.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and bank covenant requirements.
- Support the commercial side of the business with pricing and quotations for proposals.
- 7 years of accounting and financial management experience, preferably in life sciences, laboratory, healthcare, or startup settings.
- 2 years of controllership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Experience in core responsibility areas: financial and management reporting, payroll, tax, and budgets.
- Proficiency in Excel (modeling), QuickBooks Online, and other financial software.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to act autonomously.
- Detail-oriented.
- Experience with clinical trial billing cycles is a plus.
- Experience supporting M&A processes by developing financial models is a plus.
