Messina Group seeks an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Accounts Payable Functions:
Ensure timely payment to all vendors via online bill pay or by writing checks as needed
Process payments to1099 employees and staff/members for reimbursements
Code and enter payment details for accurate monthly reporting purposes
Manage temple credit card payments, including collecting and coding receipts from staff
Maintenance of vendor files
Accounts Receivable Functions:
Manage revenue coming from a range of sources: checks sent directly, checks sent to bank lockbox, and credit card payments made through both PayPal and the member portal
Apply member payments to relevant accounts in the database on a weekly basis
Manage adjustments to member accounts, including pre-pays, hardship adjustments, and resignations
Additional Details:
Schedule: 9am-5:30 pm – 30 hours/per week, flexible on schedule
