Job Posting for Bookkeeper/Accountant at Accounting & Tax Professionals
Accounting & Tax Professionals located in Grimes, IA is expanding and seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant. The successful candidate will ensure the best customer experience by accurately entering and categorizing transactions in the books of multiple clients across various industries and providing timely financial reports.
Responsibilities:
Enter and categorize transactions into Accounting Software
Manage General Ledger accounts
Create/record journal entries
Reconcile bank, credit card and other accounts.
Setup and track Asset accounts
Record Loans, Notes payable, Depreciation
Track Equity accounts
Prepare monthly and quarterly Financial Statements
Assist other staff members with IRS and State tax audits.
Provide excellent customer service.
Recognize and offer better and more efficient ways of performing your job and assisting clients in performing theirs.
Additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
2 years bookkeeping experience
AS Degree in Accounting or equivalent job experience
Experience handling multiple clients concurrently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Ability to set priorities and complete tasks despite interruptions
Experience with Xero, Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online
Proficient with MS/Office.
