About This Role:
The RN Supervising Professional is responsible for setting up home and community based direct care services for clients with complex health needs as determined by their assessment. The RN Supervising Professional develops the participant service plan with input from the Participant's Representative (PR) and assessment document. They may be asked to assist with care delivery competency trainings if needed. They also serve as a resource for the participant, PR or worker on appropriate program use and other services to help meet the health and safety needs of the participant in the community. The RN Supervising Professional may assist in training, supervision, and evaluation of services, as well as ensuring quality assurance of the direct care services at Accra Care. They are expected to stay abreast of current policies and changes to the program, and to participate in committees and meetings to enhance their knowledge of services beneficial to their clients. The RN Supervising Professional would assist in directed areas, this may include home visits or competency visits.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred, accompanied by nursing experience working in a hospital or home-health care setting. Experience with both adult and pediatric care a plus.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
- Willingness to be trained on services needed by people with disabilities and the elderly in Minnesota.
- Demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to affect change and demonstrate positive leadership.
- High commitment to service and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to be trained on federal and state statutes applicable to services for people with disabilities and the elderly in Minnesota.
- Must possess intellectual strength and have a keen understanding of internal systems needed to support services.
- Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
- Have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to use for work driving purposes.
- Willingness to be trained on home health care requirements, regulations, and protocols.
