LOCATION
- On-Site in Charlotte, NC or Houston, TX
- Hybrid schedule, 2-days in office minimum
- Up to 10% travel as needed

- The Data Science Advisor will be a key member in advancing the company's digital business transformation goals.
- Leverage your expertise in modeling, data analysis, forecasting, visualization, and scenario testing to guide Albemarle's product, research, and investment decisions.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and best practices for developing models and analytics that address strategic questions.
- Work closely with leaders from various departments, including Product Management, Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Finance, offering industry thought leadership and tools to help them understand system dynamics, compare scenarios, evaluate risks, and make informed decisions.
- Responsible for creating scenarios that assess market dynamics and technology innovation, influencing commercial strategy and R&D prioritization.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field, required / Masters degree or PhD highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a data science position performing market research, business analysis, data modeling and programming.
- Hands-on programming background using tools such as Python, MATLAB, R, C , SQL or Java.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly or Matplotlib.
- Confident experience in leveraging data to make strategic recommendations or informative decisions to the leadership team.
