What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Operations Specialist position at ACCS?
Salary: $33,625 to $50,777 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E4 05 and experience
Engage in the assimilation of admission data, distribution of printed materials, processing of applications, and maintenance of records and the preparation of related reports.
1. Assist the Admissions Operations Coordinator in the assimilation of admission data, process admissions applications, maintenance of records and the preparation of related reports using Banner, Salesforce, Argos, and other software applications.2. Assist with the training of work-study students and part-time personnel, monitor their work performance for accuracy & completeness to ensure compliance with established departmental standards.
3. Correspond with applicants, college faculty & staff, and personnel from other colleges concerning admission applications and procedures.
4. Prepare admission applications for processing and loading into the Student Information System.
5. Process incoming transcripts, test scores and related forms required for admission.
6. Advise applicants concerning their application status, determine classifications of students.
7. Work with the Financial Aid Office to add colleges to student records per NSLDS. Search student records for transcripts that need evaluating.
8. Prepare and assist in the maintenance of Admissions folders for prospective and currently enrolled students.
9. Perform administrative duties for the Admissions Operations Coordinator and Director of Articulation and Registrar.
10. Request necessary documents be forwarded to the College and process these documents (measles verification forms, transcripts, etc.) in a timely manner.
11. Coordinate with faculty and staff regarding the review & maintenance of student records.
12. Process and open incoming mail and direct to the appropriate area.
13. Correspond with the International Student Advisor concerning residency status of international students and request appropriate documents to be forwarded to the Admissions Office.
14. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education: High School diploma or GED required
Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time related work experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic English-language writing skills sufficient to complete forms, reports, correspondence, and related paperwork
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to verify registration data, prepare requisitions, expense statements, and related tasks
- Basic English-language oral communication skills necessary to respond to verbal as well as written inquiries
- Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately with minimal direct supervision
- Sufficient manual dexterity and basic computer skills, such as word processing, necessary to load registration data, access student information in computerized files, and load other data specific to the unit
- Proficient at staying current or up to date in area of responsibility
- Knowledge of the College's mission, purpose, and goals
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy
