Job Posting for CEI Manager at Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess certifications in ACI (American Concrete Institute), Nuclear Gauge, and RTT (Roadway test technician)), with preferred experience working with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The Engineering Inspector will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards, and will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of construction materials, methods, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform field tests and measurements using specialized equipment, including nuclear gauges and radiographic testing equipment, to assess the quality and integrity of materials such as concrete, asphalt, and soil.
Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to verify conformity and identify any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
Document inspection results, findings, and recommendations in detailed reports, and communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and construction teams.
Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to address quality concerns, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct quality assurance audits and monitor construction activities to identify potential risks, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction materials testing and inspection.
Maintain accurate records, including inspection logs, test reports, and certifications, in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification (Grade I) required.
Nuclear Gauge Certification preferred.
RTT (Roadway test technician) Certification preferred.
Previous experience working with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and testing procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret technical specifications and drawings.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly articulate inspection findings and recommendations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and inspection software.

Pay: $64,111.23 - $100,000.00 per year
