Informatica Developer (DH/TS)

Job Title: Informatica Data Quality Developer
Compensation: $80 - $90/hr

Overview:
Our Master Data Management team is seeking an Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Developer to play a pivotal role in our data management, data quality, and data governance initiatives as we transition to SAP. We are in search of a developer with a deep understanding of data quality architecture and experience in data analysis. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end, large-scale data-focused projects. This role requires strong communication skills for liaising with business stakeholders, resolving project issues, and providing guidance to junior team members. We are looking for problem solvers who can identify issues, generate innovative solutions, and contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.

Job Description:

• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and develop code and interfaces for use by our Global Business Services Team.
• Profile source data to identify characteristics of both the data and its metadata.
• Design and execute Data Quality Audits/Assessments.
• Develop data quality mappings for data cleansing, de-duplication, and preparation.
• Implement data quality processes including transliteration, parsing, standardization, and enrichment.
• Document all mappings, mapplets, and rules thoroughly and provide documentation to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data quality rule requirements and optimize rules where applicable.
• Utilize Informatica Developer and Informatica Analyst to design and develop custom objects, rules, and reference data tables.
• Conduct data profiling, root cause analysis, and data cleansing utilizing Informatica, Excel, and other data quality tools.
• Develop matching plans, determine matching algorithms, configure identity matching, and analyze duplicates.
• Build profiles and scripts to execute and test mappings and workflows.
• Run data quality specific ETL jobs using IDQ.
• Analyze data metrics to prioritize areas for data quality improvement.
• Contribute to the improvement of master data management processes.
• Write shell-scripts for invoking mappings or workflows.
• Write SQL queries and verify results.
• Deploy and validate objects across different environments.
• Write test scenarios, perform unit tests, and verify results against business requirements.
• Perform manual data additions, adjustments, and corrections to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with special projects or ad-hoc reviews as required.

Qualifications & Technical Proficiencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) toolset (Version 10.x preferred) and proficiency in IDQ development.
• Experience with data quality, ETL, and data integration.
• Experience developing external calls and workflows.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Ability to interpret detailed project specifications and develop program logic and code accordingly.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective facilitation and communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work under direction.
• Prior experience in defect analysis and bug fixes.
• Passion for data and willingness to think creatively.
