What are the responsibilities and job description for the AOI Operator I position at Accutronics Inc?
The Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator is a member of the Production team who ensures the Printed Circuit Board Assemblies are properly built and meet IPC requirements.
- Complete jobs following established procedures and guidelines
- Verify the product built matches the production paperwork and fill out production travelers for the assigned operation
- Identify persistent manufacturing defects and work with Production, Engineering and Quality to implement corrective and preventative actions
- Identify existing program issues related to false calls or unidentified failures and work with Test Engineering to update the AOI program
- Accurately complete all production documentation as required
- Log pass/fail data into data collection system
- Follow Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures
Knowledge and Skills
- Required to understand and follow written procedures and verbal instruction
- Good problem solving skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel
- Certification to IPC-A-610 is a plus
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 to 5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Prefer some type of optical machine inspection experience, but not required
