Who We Need & What You’ll Do

The Human Resources Administrator will play an integral part of the HR team at AccuWeather by providing high-level administrative support. The HR Administrator will assist with scheduling company/department meetings and training sessions, along with being responsible for updating records of current and new staff members and other departmental administrator duties. The HR Administrator will also have the opportunity to assist with other exciting initiatives within the Human Resources team, including the talent team with some recruiting and onboarding responsibilities.

This entry-level position will join the AccuWeather team in State College, Pennsylvania.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Director of Human Resources and other HR team members
  • Assist the AccuWeather talent team by posting job openings, sending offer letters and onboarding paperwork to new hires, along with other recruiting tasks
  • Work to enhance the overall onboarding experience for new AccuWeather team members
  • Maintain and update key HR documents
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including drafting letters, company communications, memos, invoices, reports and other documents
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR/company events and maintain agendas
  • Assist with the planning on company-wide events and meetings
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of team members’ records
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects
  • Performs office tasks, including ordering departmental supplies and performing basic bookkeeping
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures and recordkeeping systems
  • Demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
