What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Contracts position at Ace Aeronautics, LLC?
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to support and participate in the Ace Aeronautics QMS
- Manages administration of Commercial and International Contracts. Reviews contractual requirements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Terms, and Conditions, and ensures adherence to ACE Aeronautics’ polices and legal requirements
- Coordination other departments, personnel or with the end users/end customer regarding schedules, reporting and program progress
- Administration of proposals and the proposal process for customer requests, contracts and task orders
- Ability and knowledge to build various proposal types, creating the contractual responses and completing forms included in the solicitation, reviewing proposals for compliance with the request and executing/receiving contract awards
- Provide timely negotiation and executed of non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and contracts
- Negotiates and manages contracts
- Administers necessary registrations, documentation, and customs paper works for international orders and deliveries and monitors ITAR compliances
- All other tasks as assigned by the President & CEO
Basic Skills and Competency Requirements Preferred:
- Degree or equivalent in business, law, contracts, management, or another related field
- At least 10 years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in contracts or business administrative support
- Or Masters and 5 years of direct experience in contracts or business administrative support
- Proven FAR/DFAR/CFR/ITAR knowledge required
- SEC knowledge and experience is preferred
- Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the President & CEO
- Thorough understanding of FAR/DFARS and Prime Contractor flow down provisions
- Demonstrated knowledge of the federal acquisition process and government contracting principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of international contract terms, ITAR, and US import and export regulations
- Must have knowledge and experience with various forms of government contracts including, but not limited to, cost plus fixed fee (CPFF), firm fixed price (FFP), time and materials (T&M), indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), multiple award contracts (MACs) and contracts awarded under the GSA schedules. Knowledge of proposal(s), CLINS, and SF Forms
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Possess an active security clearance, or the ability to obtain one if necessary
- International, Commercial and Subcontracts experience a plus
- Knowledge of the Aviation/Rotor Wing industry preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, with advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
