Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Coordinate the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory reporting requirements
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic financial plans
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly desirable
- Proven experience in public accounting or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP)
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Advanced skills in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
