What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Ace Towing Inc.?
Dispatcher's are responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency phone calls then relaying pertinent information to drivers. Working with drivers to schedule pick-ups or delivery for new or established clients.
Day to Day:
- Receive emergency and non-emergency phone calls and record significant information
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Receive and dispatch towing, roadside services, for light and heavy duty tow trucks
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Use phone, and computer to send drivers and vehicles to locations safely
- Monitor the route and location of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Familiar with the Klamath Falls area
- Tech-savvy with ability to learn new programs
- Fast, accurate typing with experience in data entry
- Need to be able to navigate the internet, use GPS
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgment and critical thinking
- Ability to take good notes
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check
Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $13.50/Hr.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
