Job Description :
- The Data Entry Assistant will be responsible for entering data into programs used by Operations Dept.
- Daily, processing data reports, and constructing reports-based needs from management.
- Will also assist in keeping residential maps updated. This can and will include field work in new and growing cities to be able to confirm that our maps include the most up to date information.
- Will also be responsible for maintaining reports, upon request on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Some driving is required
RESPONSIBILITY / RELIABILITY / ATTENDANCE :
- This Job is an hourly paid job with an 8-hour day shift. You will be relied on by the rest of the Data Entry team as well as all the Operations Department.
- The data you enter will be used to measure success and set goals for us in the future. This means you must be very reliable as you are responsible for your team, and your work.
- You must prepare for absent coworkers and be able to help cover their workload throughout the day.
- Official start times will be discussed with your supervisor, taking into consideration that Data Entry is a day shift.
- This schedule may change at the discretion of the operations Manager or Supervisor. You are expected to work holidays unless excused.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
This will be an off-site position, working from home. You will be required to have an area that can be designated for work and have an environment where you will be able to concentrate and focus on the work at hand.
DUTIES AND TASKS :
The Data Entry Assistant will have these essential duties
- Data Entry : Every day completes data entry of all Operational coversheets from the day before, while checking to make sure we are not missing any paperwork.
- Reporting : Will run reports to double-check Data Entry work to find errors in data and correct. Will keep records of, and update Reports as requested by Supervisor.
- Mapping : Will need to learn our mapping program and be able to update and maintain our map and will have to do field surveys as cities grow to make sure our maps match the new areas and neighborhoods.
- Communication- Must be able to communicate in a timely manner any issues or concerns. Must work with your team to be able to make sure nothing is missed, and that our goals within the team are met.
Must be willing to reach out to Dispatchers and Supervisors and work with them to be able to obtain information needed for data entry, and correct any errors found.
Confirmation of Growth- Must be able to drive once a week to new and growing areas to ensure our maps reflect accurately new homes, subdivisions and any changes in any / all areas that we service.
Experience and Skills :
QUALIFICATIONS :
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of windows basic operations and general databases. A High School diploma is necessary, along with good math and penmanship skills.
Organization and management skills are necessary to be able to keep accurate records and find issues needing to be resolved.
Must be knowledgeable in Excel, and Microsoft 360. Must have good communication skills and be able to work well in an off-site environment while keeping on task
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY :
Will be sitting around 8 hours per day with frequent twisting, bending, reaching, typing, standing, walking and stair climbing.
You must be able to sit for long periods of time and be willing to show up to any in-person events required by your supervisor.
