Acenda Integrated Health is recruiting for an Emergency Screener to support the Alternative Response to Reduce Instances of Violence & Escalation Program in Cape May, New Jersey.

Overview: The Emergency Screener provides emergency/mental health assessments to patients in need of crisis stabilization. The Emergency Screener also screens patients in crisis for psychiatric hospitalization - both voluntary and involuntary and provides crisis stabilization services to patients in psychiatric crisis
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides appropriate referral and linkage when indicated.
- Develops and implements alternative treatment plans.
- Consults with psychiatrist and E.R. doctor regarding client disposition.
- Provides assessment of drug and alcohol involvement when clinically indicated and provides disposition planning for D/A involved patients.
- Completes Authorization for Police Transport form (when appropriate), Screening Document and appropriate clinical instruments
- Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem solve
Requirements:
- Master's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting; or
- Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting;
- Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field, one of which is in a crisis setting and currently enrolled in a master's program.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
