Job Summary : The welder fabricates, assembles, and welds metal / steel components. Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met.
Support a Team approach and complete other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Setting and / or adjusting settings of welding equipment. Align components using tape measure and screws them in place. Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Inspect welds for accuracy. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Use of power hand tools. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1 year of welding equipment knowledge and experience is preferred.
Able to read a measuring tape. Able to read and write. Safety Requirements Cut resistant gloves. Safety glasses. Welding Shield.
Steel toe boots. Welding jacket. Environment Non-Climate Control. Fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Activity Percentage Standing / Walking 100% Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
