Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination of all the service operations for the Orlando Branch and other ACF locations, and to assist the Director of Service Operations for any Generator service and parts activities. These responsibilities include all aspects listed below for all service projects whether within the branch office or for the entire generator service department.
Essential Job Functions
- Schedule generator service technicians daily in an efficient manner.
- Respond to incoming service related calls / emails.
- Coordinate and manage the Load bank fleet to meet service needs
- Prepare quotations from service recommendations and customer requested services.
- Supervise the dispatch board on a daily basis
- Ensure all service technicians have what they need to perform their scheduled jobs
- Work closely with the Generator parts department to make sure all parts are on hand for the technicians service jobs
- Assist the Generator Parts Department with inventory and truck stock levels as needed
- Work closely with the Generator Sales Dept and Generac National Accounts to schedule startups
- Maintain effective productivity and grow the service department business by meeting and exceeding financial goals
Additional Job Functions
- May be required to conduct out of town business or training
- May be required to support the sales and parts department during special circumstances such as vacation coverage
- Evaluate and reestablish yearly work goals
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Service Operations
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and work environment)
- Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to handle working in a NON-climate controlled environment whether at customer site or in branch warehouse
- Required to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) as applicable
- Working knowledge of a service operations business system
- Incorporate time management skills on a continuous basis
- Well developed sales skills including excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
- Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers
- Basic marketing knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must operate forklift vehicle (company forklift safety training and certification provided and required)
- Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the market
Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree, or 5 to 7 years of parts and management experience (industrial sales preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary : $69,500 - $88,000
