DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, exempt, regular position that reports to the Executive Director.
You are a dynamic, engaging, and self-reliant senior leader, accustomed to managing with a collaborative and fact-based approach, and with articulate communication and interpersonal warmth. You have demonstrated the ability to build strong and open working relationships characterized by mutual respect, and being accessible and approachable. You are a senior leader who promotes continuous learning, student growth, and ongoing self-improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead AchieveKids schools and educational programs.
- Set vision and implement the values of AchieveKids by creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive community for our school-based programs.
- Build and sustain a strong and cohesive team. Maintain a healthy and dynamic culture amongst students, staff, and families.
- Oversight of educational program design and content, training and professional development initiatives, curricular offerings and structure, and school operational processes.
- Supervision of School Directors. Provide oversight to school leadership structure, communications, and processes.
- Manage certification of schools with California Department of Education.
- Manage Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation
- Experience interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; performance development, reward and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving laws.
- Oversee enrollment system and ensure ongoing health enrollment to programs. Manage internal classroom/program enrollment procedures ensuring efficiency and transparency.
- Participate in organizational marketing and fundraising events.
- Represent AchieveKids to program-based membership organizations (e.g., CAPSES), attend semi-regular SELPA/NPS meetings.
- Collaborate with Executive Director in developing new partnerships, program expansion, and opportunities to serve students.
- Participate with organizational leadership in developing and carrying out strategic initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation, or related field listed on California Assembly Bill 1172.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in teaching and learning.
- Experience and agility in working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing growing enrollment and other business issues such as transportation.
- Experience managing a budget and tracking specific metrics of performance.
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for the current need for non-public schools in special education. Passion for education and clinical services for students with learning, social, and emotional differences.
- Ability to attract, recruit, and lead a professional staff.
- Ability to create and maintain strong and positive workplace culture.
- Other Requirements
- Criminal record clearance or formal exemption.
- Must provide a Tuberculin clearance upon hire and every four years thereafter.
- Competencies in the following, or willingness to obtain competencies within 30 days of hire:
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Knowledge of child and elder abuse reporting laws
- Safety-Care™ techniques (Certification is a requirement for this classification)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

PAY RANGE
The pay range for this position is $8,400 - $10,500 per month.
