Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About Us: Join ACI Federal's dynamic healthcare team! We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to contribute to the delivery of exceptional long-term care.
Position Overview: As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting new residents in adjusting to the unit, philosophy, and goals.
- Reporting any accidents or changes in the resident's condition to the Charge Nurse and documenting on progress notes in the chart.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to prepare, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Discussing clinical issues regarding resident care with the Charge Nurse.
- Observing, recording, and reporting progress or changes in the resident's condition.
- Updating care plans as needed.
- Administering and dispensing medications (excluding IV) to residents, observing for side effects and effectiveness.
- Securing and accounting for controlled drugs.
- Carrying out therapeutic treatments.
- Maintaining nursing care and administrative records and reports.
- Attending staff meetings and participating in in-service programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a course of study approved by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
- COVID Vaccination required.
