A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CASHIER
As a Cashier, your day revolves around providing exceptional customer service and operational support. You greet and assist all guests and co-workers courteously and professionally, handling merchandise transactions efficiently through a point-of-sale system. You also help with bagging and loading customers’ products. Staying up to date on product sales, rebates, and promotions enables you to be a go-to resource for customers and when they have questions or need product guidance, you direct them to Retail Sales Associates. Whether in person or over the phone, you can answer customers’ questions, provide sales quotes, and research inventory. Cashiers also maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including product displays and work areas, and actively participate in store events while prioritizing safety standards and completing assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- Good communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email
- The ability to work a rotating Saturday shift
- Frequently lift up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for the duration of your shift
- Frequently bend, sit, squat, lift overhead, push, pull, kneel, and reach
