Job Summary:
Plan, coordinate and direct all tool room functions to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
1. Troubleshoot problems with injection molds
2. Repair, fix and implement engineering changes of molds
3. Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions
4. Make fixture details
5. Communicate with outside vendors when outsourcing
6. Work with various departments to implement customer concerns
7. Ensure the effective implementation of TS 16949 standards
8. Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained
9. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
10. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

1. Business Operating System (BOS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related BOS requirements.
2. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.
3. Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
4. Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements
5. Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.
Specific Requirements:
Education Minimum high school diploma, 2-year apprentice program at Community College helpful.
Work Experience Basic trigonometry plus 8 years experience as a mold maker (Journeyman status) desired.
