Job Summary

In a leadership role as Field Application Scientist (FAS) Manager/Director, you will support our company goals and customer’s needs. The Field Application Scientist Manager/Director will lead the team of FAS to provide technical support to customers related to the ACROBiosystems product line. This individual will also primarily support our GMP product lines. In this position, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and offering technical solutions, as well as building and maintaining strong customer relationships.


Essential Functions

  • Technical Support and Solutions: You'll work closely with cross-department teams to develop product solutions, application notes, and customer support plans. Providing comprehensive technical solutions to support customer needs and actively engaging in key account customer development and maintenance are crucial aspects of this role.
  • Customer Interaction: You'll be the point of contact for technical inquiries from customers, which you'll address through email, phone calls, and visits. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is key to success in this role.
  • Documentation and Training: Summarizing technical information, drafting technical tips and guides, recommending updates to technical information on the company's website and knowledge databases, and leading product training are essential tasks.
  • Presentation and Networking: Presenting product and technical information at trade shows and customer field visits is important for promoting the company's products and staying informed about industry trends.
  • Travel: Expect to travel domestically (and occasionally globally) around 30% of the time to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and conduct training sessions.
  • Other Responsibilities: Depending on the company's needs, you may also be involved in other projects or responsibilities related to your role as an FAS Supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • M.S. or PhD degree in immunology, protein chemistry or related discipline required.
  • 5 years of laboratory experience in molecular and cell biology, immunoassay, protein chemistry, or other bioassay techniques required.
  • 4 years of industry experience related to large-scale production and/GMP experience.


Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Experience in applied science (therapeutic development, clinical research, diagnostics) a plus.
  • Familiar with quality control and production process development desired.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese preferred.

Location: Onsite at one of ACROBiosystems' locations- Newark, DE, Boston, MA, San Jose, CA or San Diego, CA


Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000 plus bonus
