We are seeking a Business Development Intern for ACRO’s corporate development and seed fund team. The team will evaluate market trends emphasizing identification and evaluation of external opportunities for licensing, strategic investment, partnership, and/or collaboration at the global level. Focus will be on life sciences tools, reagents, and instruments as well as diagnostics and drug/biologics manufacturing. This would be a great opportunity to learn about the business-side of life sciences and participate in exciting projects.

Essential Functions
- Assist with search and evaluation of opportunities from academic and industrial organizations.
- Assist in analyzing emerging markets in the biotech/pharma industries.
- Assist with assessing and reporting on technologies and companies for licensing, investment, acquisition, or distribution opportunities.
- Help with preparation of investment memos, competitive landscape analyses, technical analyses, and financial projections of target technologies or companies.
- Attend and prepare meeting memos and answers to due diligence questionnaires.
- Build and foster relationships by emails, presentations, cold calling, and in-person visits where appropriate.
- Cultivate cross-functional relationships and assist project management to ensure that key risks and opportunities are identified, captured, and presented in an unbiased manner for decision makers.
- Proactively monitor the external business environment and maintain knowledge base of licensing transactions and other company activities.
- Promote ACROBiosystems at business partnering meetings, scientific conferences, or regional events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current B.S. or M.S. student in Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Hands on experience in research and manufacturing technologies for protein chemistry, molecular biology, cell, and tissue engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current MBA student with previous research or technical experience in the above-mentioned scientific fields preferred.
- Previous internship and/or work experience in management, consulting, or finance preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to demonstrate excellent efficiency and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Self-starter, detail- and results-oriented, able to multi-task.
- Knowledge/interest in the commercialization process, including assessing Intellectual Property, legal contracts (NDA, MoU, MTA, SRA etc.).
Work Location: WA (remote)
Salary Range: $16.50-$30/hr.
