Job Summary: Grant Resource Specialist
ORGANIZATION: ACT Lawrence is an award-winning non-profit community development corporation (CDC) whose mission is to empower people to achieve their goals and dreams by providing opportunities for financial capability, community engagement & personal growth. The organization’s primary focus is Lawrence, MA in housing, youth, families, training, and financial capability. We serve 17500 annually throughout all our programs and services.
POSITION SUMMARY: ACT Lawrence is seeking a dynamic and committed Resource Development Specialist to join our team. The Resource Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in securing funding, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and driving initiatives to support our programs and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit funding opportunities from individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data for grant proposals, reports, and donor communications.
- Research and analyze funding prospects, grant opportunities, and trends in philanthropy to inform fundraising strategies.
- Manage grant application processes, including proposal writing, budget development, and submission deadlines.
- Coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and other initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of ACT Lawrence's mission and impact.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials, donor communications, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain accurate donor records, gift acknowledgments, and grant reports in the organization's database.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field.
- Preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, or resource development.
- Proven track record of successfully securing funding from diverse sources, including individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government grants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the organization's mission and impact to donors and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising databases (experience with donor management software preferred).

JOB TYPE: Part-time: 20-25 hours per week, flexibility required to work on/ sensitive deadlines.
COMPENSATION: Experience base, plus performance-based incentives.
This is a grant-funded position for a period of 12 months.
