Animal Care Technician

Description:

Working as an animal care tech allows you to work with both cats and dogs. This job is focused on animal care and you will not have to work with customers.

Main Responsibilities:

-Maintains kennels and facility areas

-Ensure facility is organized, sanitized, and free of odors

-Feed cats and dogs on schedule

-Ensures animals have access to clean water

-Uses the provided pet toys to play and socialize animals

-Bathes and grooms animals

-Prepares pet food for scheduled feedings

-Weighs left over food and disposes of food accordingly

-Maintains documentation on dogs and cats and updates this information accordingly

-Maintains a supportive and collaborative environment

-Provides exceptional animal care

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma required.

6 months or more years animal care experience in a veterinary environment, kennel, or shelter is strongly preferred.
