What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Drafter position at Actalent?
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with architects and engineers to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
- Utilize CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, to create accurate 2D and 3D models.
- Ensure all drafted documents comply with industry standards, building codes, and local regulations.
- Conduct site visits for research and to verify that construction adheres to architectural plans.
- Coordinate drafting efforts and provide guidance to junior drafters and technicians.
- Prepare colored drawings and scale models for client presentations.
- Compile and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Architectural Drafting or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong drafting skills with the ability to produce detailed, accurate drawings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, and design principles.
