BIM Coordinator

Description:

Primarily responsible for supporting building information modeling (BIM) documentation and projects as a member of a production support team with advanced knowledge of BIM and all digital processes associated with the design and construction stages of projects.

• Ensure 3D models, drawings and structural data and managed and stored in accessible places and deliver project information model to internal and external clients.
• Work with designers to design solutions
• Come up with solutions to problems that arose in the field
• Progress meetings and readiness meetings and will have their own action items from those meetings
• Communicates with clients internally and externally for problem solving, data gathering or related topics and monitors project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed upon strategy, standards and processes
• Creates clash detection reports and leads clash detection meetings with design teams
• Provides technical staff with assistance performing difficult or complicated tasks and conducts training for department staff and end-users when needed
• Coordinates the application of BIM technologies at the project level by working with all building and infrastructure disciplines
• Assists, or fills in for, the BIM manager with high level project meetings with internal and external clients
• Participates in the project-based BIM strategy call and kick-off meetings for projects and ensures the BIM models adhere to all internal and client specific goals and standards
• Complying with data protection principles while handling personal, protected and Covered Defense Information on behalf of the company
• Adheres to and enforces documented policies, standard operating procedures and secure practices associated with protecting trusted employee and customer data

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced working technical knowledge of Revit and Navisworks. Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) experience a plus.
• Ability to understand Autodesk Revit Applications and Navisworks at a high level. Knowledge of Revit collaboration tools, site coordination, and Navisworks clash detection functions is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues/problems with Autodesk Applications and assist technical staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to positively engage employees and clients at all levels.
• Knowledge of Bentley BIM/CAD applications is helpful.
