Job Description

Assist scientists with experiment design, set-up, monitoring, and data collection for greenhouse, laboratory, and controlled environment studies. With limited supervision, you will assist in treatment application, planting, processing, and disposal of plants and pathogens per USDA guidelines, and training of new team members. Be a vital part of daily research activities by collecting and recording data and assisting in other tasks to facilitate timely completion of projects. Contribute to maintaining a clean and compliant laboratory, greenhouse, and/or controlled environment chamber. Attend and participate in group and project meetings, assist with scheduling, and develop complex timelines. Provide timely and frequent communication regarding any updates, changes, or issues that arise. You will work effectively in a multi-project team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals as well as work independently. May be responsible for leading independent projects. Reports to a manager and works under the guidance of several Scientists. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
