JOB DESCRIPTION
IMMEDIATE NEED for Chemical Blender to join top manufacturer for Optical Fibers at their new location in Norcross, GA!
Description :
Client manufactures coating for optical fiber. There are two different types of product, one is a softer rubber like material that is bendable and the other is a harder shell for protection.
With 5G, they are busier than ever.
Must Haves :
- Must be able to read a batch sheet.
- Basic Microsoft word and excel knowledge.
Day to day :
- Experience making batches and following batch tickets / chemical blending
- Experience handling totes and drums
- Preparing paperwork and passing off to the lab
- Staging materials to make product
- Dumping or pouring materials (materials are either liquid or powder)
- Removing the materials
- Run mixers to blend the materials
- Pump into totes
- Add pigment to material
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Soft skills :
- Clean and organized
- Punctual
- Safety is a big deal - Not looking to train anyone and that is why he needs experience.
- Prefer someone have chemical experience or pharma biotech. Food and bev could work too but open to other industries if have above experience
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
