Description:
The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the quality control laboratory and the compound teams. The lab and blending supervisor with assist and provide oversight for batch mixing, compounding, quality control, and quality assurance. The supervisor/manager will oversee laboratory technicians, a chemist, and compounders/blenders.
Responsibilities Will Include:
-Effectively Oversee, manage, train, and lead a team of chemists, lab techs, and compounders/blenders.
-Testing incoming raw materials, in process products, and finished products working alongside laboratory technicians and chemists.
-Provide oversight and direction for customer product formulations and developments.
-Adhere and enforce safety precautions, GMPs, and laboratory practices and techniques.
-Coordinate blending schedules and maintain working knowledge of each chemical SDS.
-Provide guidance and support for customers and their blends ensuring blending team have the right formulas.
-Manage chemical waste generations adhering to EPA and RCRA guidelines.
-Maintain compliance and assist with tracking chemical inventory
-Work with various departments to complete necessary customer orders
-Ensure final products and blends are meeting customer specific quality standards.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
-High School Diploma Required, Technical Degree in related field preferred
-5 Years Experience in GMP environment
-Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Experience Strongly Preferred
-3-5 Years Experience in laboratory and blending within GMP environment
-3 Years Experience in laboratory & blending supervision/oversight
