Our client is seeking a Budget Technician to support the Research Offices Clinical Trials Office. Ideally, the candidate will come from an academic research, healthcare/hospital, or private practice experience. Preferably work experience with research studies.
Your responsibilities and duties will be...
- Report directly to the Director of Business Operations for the Research Offices School of Medicine.
- Work with vendors and sponsors on financial and budgetary matters, as well as extensive transactional accounting to reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
- In charge of decision making on what is allowable under research protocols and for budgeting
- Understanding the financial situation is required to follow through with timely payments from researchers, sponsors, and collaborators. successful adherence to financial plan.
- Experience in research administration
Additional Skills
1-2 years of experience in (clinical) research administration
Conducting transactional accounting functions
Strong communication skills
Experienced in Excel
Budget development
Invoice processing
