Actalent is currently hiring/ interviewing for buyer/purchasers within a manufacturing environment. This opportunity is within a growing facility in the Greater Chicagoland Area. Please contact if you or anyone you know is interested.

Qualifications

• Experience expediting/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience in working with ERP/MRP software

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 software/programs

• Strong verbal, written, mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to details

• Team oriented, professional, self-starter, with positive attitude

Summary: The buyer/expeditor position ensures that all inventory and supplies arrive to support production schedule and sales communicates with vendors regarding status of open orders. This position will requiring direct buying with vendors as well.

• Problem solves and escalates delivery issues to reduce the impact of late shipments

• Communicates status of orders to internal customers

• Expedites purchase orders utilizing MRP reports, production shortages, sales order back orders, and requests from any internal customer

• Escalates issues collaborating with buyers, stockroom manager, and engineering to minimize impact of late deliveries

• Maintains documentation on the status of all open orders

• Communicate status to all concerned parties, and in various meetings

• Processes defective purchased components returned by customers on RGAs including setting up the return to vendor, final disposition, and updating status in RGA

log

• Places purchase director orders with vendors as required

• Reconcile invoice/purchase order discrepancies

• Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
