Job Description

- Purchase products by creating and authorizing purchase orders. - Manage a high volume of POs (hundreds per month): Track, price, and enter into the ordering system. - Track material cost savings as determined by organizational initiatives. - Procure and maintain inventory levels required to fulfill the production schedule. - Research product costs, maintain price and quote information, set standard costs for purchased inventory items yearly. - Maintain system planning parameters and sales demand data. - Seek ways to manage and lower costs by working with key suppliers and negotiating contracts. - Collaborate with Quality Control, Research & Development, Engineering, and Production departments to cut costs and maintain quality. - Negotiate favorable pricing, discounts, payment terms, advertising allowances, rebates, catalog allowances, lead times, and consignment programs. - Procure and maintain inventory levels in compliance with the annual Business Plan while considering current customer demand. - Maintain familiarity with assigned purchasing materials, products, and equipment and keep knowledge of current market trends.

- Medical Device / Healthcare manufacturing company in Saugerties, NY. - Business casual dress code, office setting - Mon-Fri, 1st shift - 8:00am to 4:30pm (flex to start earlier at 7am or later at 9am)
