What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter/Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
Actalent is partnering with a company that builds hydraulic presses, both medium size to very large. This company is seeking a drafter/designer that can take examples of previous presses and modify them for the specific size and shape specified by the customer using 3D modeling software, specifically Autodesk Inventor. This position will function under the direction of Lead Designer.
JOB DUTIES:
- 3D modeling and drafting of hydraulic presses using Autodesk Inventor.
- Using designs that are existing - then creating new drafts based off of those
- Dimensioning and tolerancing
Qualifications:
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor - 3D modeling and drafting
- Will be working with hydraulic presses so hydraulic press background would be ideal
- Preferred but not required - experience with machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic cylinders, steel framework
- CAD degree or ME Associates Degree or 2-5 years experience using Autodesk Inventor or 2022/2023 graduate with strong understanding of Inventor
