What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAE Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
Calculation of strength and durability for aluminum housings and occasional plastic and steel components.
• Use of ABAQUS and nCode to perform analyses.
• Review of calculations performed by colleagues in support regions.
• Preparation of reports and presentations, as well as the communication of re-sults internally and with external customers.
• Ability to interpret FEA results to make suggestions on structural improve-ments to components.
• Ability to understand customer loading requirements to build loading schemes.
• Participation in frequent meetings with the Automotive Steering teams in USA, Mexico, and Germany
• Ability to oversee, guide, and work closely with teammates in offices abroad
• Occasional international travel for training and collaboration required, up to 10%
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Someone with plastic, housing casting or aluminum housing is a plus
Candidate has to legally work in the us without a need of a TN or Visa
