Actalent Engineering services is representing a communications engineering firm looking for an AutoCAD drafter. The company culture provides a fast-paced environment but laid-back culture. Description:

• The Cad Drafter is responsible for 2D drawings for fiber to home/business projects in rural areas.
• Design and maintain maps, floor plans, diagrams, and attributes/CPR’s using computer-aided drafting
• Create ped-to-ped sheets for project estimates.
• Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) station to design and maintain maps based upon blueprints and red-lined CAD prints.
• Maintain consistency between CAD prints, red-lined CAD prints, plant inventory sheets, and engineering standards.
• Create and maintain attributes/cpr's using telemap software in conjunction with the CAD software.
• Utilize plotter to print maps, drawings, and diagrams.
• Enter Ped-to-Ped sheets and compare them to red-lined CAD prints.
• Organize project folder for OSP to ensure all materials are included for the project.
• Update manually drawn maps using pens, templates, and leroying tools.
• Make blackline copies of plans for local builders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Drafting or CAD, related field or equivalent experience.
• 1– 3 years’ experience with AutoCAD.
• 1– 3 years telephony/CAD/mapping experience a plus and will receive top pay!
• Knowledge of office software including Excel, Word, Progress, and Access.
