What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Drafter position at Actalent?
We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter/CAD Technician/Designer to join our team. This role will be supporting a close partner of ours based out of the Fairfax, VA office.
Description:
Responsible for preparing exhibits, sketches, drawings, and plans for civil engineering projects located predominately in Virginia. In addition, the desired candidate will be responsible for assisting other professionals with other support level jobs such as surveying, construction inspection, utility mapping and coordination, and other duties as determined by the Sector Division Manager.
- Under general supervision, performs functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating or modifying deliverable.
- Provides technical guidance to other engineering technicians.
- This role will be responsible for the development site drainage, grading, utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Significant Civil 3D experience is required with use of pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces and plan and profile development.
