Clinical Scientist

Clinical Scientist - Paying up to $35/hr.

Description:

• Infectious disease testing in vitro and in vivo.
• Experience handling animal models, tissue cultures, cell isolation methods, primary tissue cultures, bacteria propagation/cultures.
• Technical writing skills/SOP writing including method development.
• Microbiology, microscopy, aseptic technique.
• Quality assurance and analysis of data prepared by other technicians including lab report writing.
• Experiments may take 3-5 days and multiple experiments may be run by a single analyst over the course of a week.
• Experiments will have short (1-2 hour) phases with incubation phases (2-48 hours) during which other activities (experiment preparation, training, data collection/management/report writing, laboratory maintenance) will be conducted.
• Aseptic technique, use of micro pipettors, biosafety cabinets, incubators, and centrifuges.
• Operating in a GLP, GMP, or GCP environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Masters degree or B.S. in biology, microbiology, immunology, or a related life-science.
• Ideally, experience with tissue culture or bacterial culture. (BSL-2 or higher is a plus.).
