What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compressor Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
Currently 2 positions: One on first shift and one on second shift.
MUST HAVES:
- Mechanical testing
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good documentation skills
The primary purpose of this position is to perform the duties associated with the execution of durability and performance testing of automotive A/C compressors working with a team of engineers and technicians. Need to understand and execute automotive A/C compressor tests efficiently and correctly. Includes test bench setup with appropriate instrumentation, compressor mounting bracket and refrigerant manifold connections for mechanical and electrical A/C compressors. Become proficient in test bench operation – mechanical/electrical/control systems. Interface with PC based electronic test request system. Diagnosis of test compressor/test bench issues. Performing test bench maintenance
The hours for each may be vary but one is on day shift (6:00am to 2:30pm) and one is second shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm). We operate Monday through Friday with some potential for Saturday OT.
