Construction Engineering Field Technician

Description:

• These activities will be performed on-site at various construction sites including commercial, warehouse, and school projects.
• Seeking someone with strong soil testing experience/ certifications who can run with the soil testing/ inspection work independently.
• Must be comfortable working on a construction site outdoors in various weather conditions. Work load and daily/ weekly schedule will vary based on project status, weather, time of year, etc. Travel is local to Dayton/ Cincinnati and overnight trips are not required.
• Accurately record testing data as the work is being performed
• Report test results and time sheet to the Project Manager in a timely fashion.
• Review project drawings and specifications
• Transport up to 50lb. of material across job site

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-3 years soil testing experience preferred - must be able to hit the ground running and work independently

-Nuclear Density Gauge, NICET and/ or other relevant soil testing certifications

- High School diploma required

- Ability to travel locally and drive own vehicle when necessary - will be reimbursed for mileage.

- Ability to work a variable schedule- varies based on workload, weather, project status, time of year, etc.

- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions

-Valid drivers license
