Job Description:
Our client is a top engineering & construction management GC hiring a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on fit-out and renovation projects in the Northern VA/DC area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a safe work environment
- Manage the project change process and punch list
- Produce, obtain, and organize project management and contractual documents
- Establish and administer the submittal process
- Coordinate inspections and monitor project billing.
- Plan and prioritize to achieve high-quality, timely results within the context of project management.
- Successfully ensure the accuracy of project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 1 years of Construction Project Management related experience -OR- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of project management software
- Solid numerical and analytical skills for project budgeting and basic estimating
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to develop productive relationships
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position for a federal project in Fairfax County, VA.
