What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
SCOPE:
Candidate will be working on an off-shift and doing Controls support on existing production equipment. The candidate will be working within Siemens PLC's to ensure that production is running and they will be programming, troubleshooting, and debugging the equipment. They will be working with the team to ensure that if any issues come up with the lines or machines, they are able to fix them and ensure that the cycle continues.
Candidate will be opening up the software to figure out what faults are occurring and they will be working with HMI's, servo drives, profy net, and various programming languages.
Candidate will work on 1st shift for at least 1 month to ensure they are up to speed before going to the off-shift where they will be relied upon for the support.
HOURS:
The start time is 6:00pm to 6:00am. - Tuesday starting 6pm through Friday...ending Saturday morning.
Their work week would consist of 4 days, 12 hour shifts with 8 hours of OT per week.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
-Controls Engineering experience (Candidate must understand how to program troubleshoot and debug within Siemens PLC software.)
-Siemens experience (Company only uses this software and they are on version TIA Portal 15 and 16, other software versions will work as well)
-Automotive Manufacturing experience (Candidate must have experience with assembly machines, production machines, preferably milles, lathes, etc. as this is a production facility)
-Mechanical Aptitude (Candidate will also at times work with mechanical issues as they arise and it is helpful if they have hands on experience)
NICE TO HAVES:

-GCCS GCCH certs
-Experience with European equipment
-ABB Robot
