What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
DAY TO DAY:
Candidate will be responsible for working on supporting production as well as working on the AGV equipment to ensure the plant is running properly. The candidate will be involved in ensuring that the sequencing for the lines and the AGV's are proper and that there are no issues. The candidate will be utilizing Allen Bradley PLC's to log into the systems to troubleshoot and debug the problems. The candidate will be doing some programming but everything is already written so it won't be from scratch.
The candidate since they are working on day shift will be involved on various projects as well for lines that are being installed. They will likely do commissioning work.
The candidate will go from station to station to ensure everything is running properly. They will also be working on the plant floor in a JIT facility the entire time.
HOURS:
1st shift
The hours right now are 6:30am-2:30pm
They are running currently Monday-Friday and 80% of the Saturdays.
Candidate will be working anywhere between 55-70 hours per week
TRAVEL:
less than 5% the candidate will be sometimes travel to customer site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
- Controls Engineering experience (Candidate will need to know how to work within Allen Bradley PLC, RSLogix and Ladder Logix)
- Allen Bradley PLC (Candidate will be working within Allen Bradley doing troubleshooting, debugging and some programming)
- Automotive Manufacturing (This is a JIT facility and the candidate will need to understand how to work within manufacturing equipment)
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Atlas Copco torque tools would be a plus
- Experience with servomotors would be a plus
- RFID cards - transferring data (radio frequency ID)
